Discarding any concerns for quizzes, midterms or finals i grabbed my camera and tripod and headed for the Windsor river-side.

Fixing my camera and tripod I got the idea to take this picture as i felt I would be nice to have one including me in the snap ( the main dissadvantage of being an enthusiast is that i seldom take any snaps including myself ). I had planned to take one including my outline as i looked at the scene but while taking the snap I felt myself drifting to another place as i turned to face the beautiful sight that lay before me. I was not posing but actually so engrosed in the beauty that i forgot i had taken the snap like half a minute ago and only then was I able to pull away and see the photo.

You see, this beautiful scene is but a 5 minute walk from my place. back in winter I would have willingly ignored preperation for an exam just to enjoy a scene like this but now I have all the free time of summer and this place is like I said - 5 mins away i still havnt been there in almost a month. I guess there is some truth in the saying

"After a time, you may find that having is not so pleasing a thing, after all, as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true."

Wanting is such a strong feeling. throughout winter i averaged 9-12 kms each day on my cycle through slush and cold from morning to 2am and I really wanted everything to just dissolve and slow down, and to see beauty about as well. Interestingly now that i have it on a 24x7 basis I hardly make any use of it. Apply this on a wider scale and this applies to all of us humans, even though these words wernt spoken by a human............

First Post

I have been a 3d designer/programmer for a while now, having started back in India in 1999 when i fired up my 1st render with POV rays for Win3.1 . 3d designing was a lot like programming back then, writing out a scene with lines of code and thats why i first took an interest in it. After moving to Australia for 2 years my highschool friend RaysOfLight got me into more serious and up-to-date softwares for communicating my emotions and immaginations. since then i have been very busy with Uni and just havent been able to make any recent designs, and my interest has now branched into photography as well.

never the less i try to make as much art as possible. i may be an engineer by study but art is also an important component of life i feel.

each piece here has either been inspired by something that stuck to my mind or in most cases has been nothing but a blank screen or the booring view-finder of my camera, just waiting to capture something worth remembring.
